Who is responsible for your data

What we collect

• Account details: name, username, email, phone number, address, country, and a hashed password and PIN (we cannot read them).
• Identity verification: images of your government ID and a selfie, and the result of the check. These are collected and processed by our verification partner, Persona, on our behalf.
• Payments and activity: your wallets, balances, transactions, recipients' names and usernames, and withdrawal details. We keep only the last digits of a bank account number.
• Technical data: device and browser type, IP address and sign-in history, used to keep your account secure and prevent fraud.
• Messages to us: what you write in the contact form or to support.

Why we use it

To create and run your account, verify who you are, process payments, keep accounts and the network safe, meet legal obligations (such as anti-money-laundering rules), answer your questions, and improve the service. [[TODO: your lawyer should state the legal basis for each purpose.]]

Who we share it with

Only the partners needed to run the service, under contract: Stripe (card payments), Persona (identity verification), mobile-money and bank-payout partners, our email and hosting providers, and authorities where the law requires. We do not sell your personal data.

This website

This marketing website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising trackers, and loads nothing from third parties. If you use our contact or waitlist forms, we store what you type and a one-way hash of your network address (to limit abuse), and use it only to reply or to tell you about the product you asked about.

Depending on where you live you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to some uses. Write to info@monkpay.io and we will answer within the time the law sets. You can also complain to your data-protection authority.
